Presenter details:

Daniel has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry and is currently working as a senior project manager for Knappett Projects.  He is the lead project manager on the New Athletic Complex for Brentwood College and also completed the new dorm, Hope Hous.  After achieving his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Calgary Daniel was employed by one of the largest construction companies in Canada.  He grew up in Victoria and decided to bring his family back to the island in 2010.  Daniel has been the lead Project and Procurement Manager on numerous Design Build, P3, and conventional Design-Bid-Build projects.   He has a proven track record of successful projects completed on time and on budget and was the chair of the U40 network for the Vancouver Island Construction Association.   He is a registered professional engineer

Synopsis:

I plan on going through how I got to where I am today and the critical items that I think helped me achieve my goals.  I was then going to walk through some of my past projects and explain my role as an engineer on the construction side of the industry and explain the differences between a design engineer and a project manager.
