Profession/Occupation: Recreation Coordinator
Sandy is a former competitive swimmer who reached All-American status while at the University of Tennessee and was a competitor in the 1980 Olympic Trials. Following her success as an athlete Sandy perused a career in the Health and Fitness industry, which evolved into a career as a Recreation Coordinator. In addition, Sandy is the provincial Trainer of Trainers for HIGH FIVE, (www.highfive.org), Canada’s quality standard for Children’s programs. These trainings provide an innovative approach to help organizations enhance program quality and provide front line leaders and coaches with the skills necessary to ensure positive experiences for children, experiences that can last a lifetime.
Sandy will provide an interactive and energizing presentation allowing participants to experience a ‘Taste of HIGH FIVE’. Participants will be infused with a passion for working with children as a Sport and Recreation professional and the importance of their role to provide quality experiences.
