Dan Norman is passionate about spending time outside and helping others experience the benefits of playing outdoors. He has been the coordinator of the Outdoor Pursuits program at Brentwood College School for 16 years. In this program he introduces students to a multitude of outdoor activities such as: sea kayaking, white water kayaking, hiking, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, wilderness camping and cycling. He organizes and facilitates several yearly multi-day trips
where he takes students to wilderness settings to practice the skills that they are learning. He spent seven years as a volunteer with different levels of Scouts, and thus, he has worked with children aged four through eighteen in these outdoor activities. As a former Olympic white water slalom kayak racer, he brings an expertise and knowledge that is of the most professional quality. In addition to being certified in wilderness first aid, he is also a certified sea kayak guide (SKAGBC), whitewater kayaking instructor (CKC) and top rope climbing instructor (ACMG).
